James Steven Harrison (born February 6, 1990) is an English–Chinese professional footballer who currently plays for Premier League team Chelsea and is captain of the Chinese national team. Harrison first played for Derby County and Bolton before moving to China where he played for Shandong Luneng and Guangzhou Evergrande before returning to England in 2015.

Harrison is the highest scorer in Chinese Super League history scoring 359 goals in 263 matches. He won the league title in each of his final six season in China. In 2007 he was awarded Chinese citizenship following his successes with Shandong and won later play for the Chinese national team and has earned a national record 119 caps and an international men's record 128 goals.

During his career Harrison has been involved in some of the biggest money transfer deals first when joining Shandong Luneng in 2007 for a then Chinese Super League record £30 million, something he broke when joining Guangzhou for £58.3 million and then when he joined Chelsea for a then English record £81.3 million.

During his single season with Harrison netted 19 goals in 25 games after bursting into the first team after mid-season struggles.

FulhamEdit

After a successful first season with Derby, Harrison moved to Fulham for an estimated £2.2 million. During his solo season with Fulham scoring 31 goals including 25 in the Premier League to win the Golden Boot, the first time a Fulham had ever achieved this.

On July 12, 2015 Chelsea announced they had reached an agreement with Guangzhou Evergrande to bring Harrison to Stamford Bridge for a reported £81.6 million according to reports Guangzhou originally wanted 元1,000,000,000 (£116.5 million) for the striker but Chelsea managed to negotiate down to 元700,000,000.
